EB-3 FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – PROACTIVE FUTURE, LONG-TERM PEACE OF MIND

The Du Học Cùng Con team receives many questions from parents about permanent residency opportunities for their children while studying in the United States. Many families still believe they must wait until their child graduates and starts working before considering immigration options. However, in reality, from the age of 18, international students may begin an EB-3 application if they meet the required eligibility criteria.

Among the immigration pathways available to international students—such as marriage-based cases, EB-3 Skilled, or EB-3 Unskilled—the EB-3 category is considered one of the more accessible options. It allows applications to be filed while the student is still legally studying in the U.S.

Filing early is not about rushing, but about:

  • Proactively planning a long-term pathway for your child

  • Having a backup option if academic plans or financial circumstances change

  • Avoiding uncertainty if F-1 status or OPT faces risks

Immigration is a long-term journey. Early preparation provides parents with peace of mind and gives students a stronger, more stable foundation for their future.

If parents are interested, please inbox the Du Học Cùng Con team. We are proud to be a unit with in-depth experience in EB-3 cases for international students, fully understanding each stage of EDUCATION – VISA – IMMIGRATION to design a lawful, suitable, and sustainable pathway.
